2015 marketing revenue drivers

According to the article 10 insightful Marketing Charts from 2015, on of the most important lead sources for business in general is SEO (thus having a website) and social media, followed closely by email marketing and blogging. Content marketing is still the strongest marketing trend by far, though Big Data, automation and mobile marketing are starting to grow more popular as well.

Indeed, nowadays all companies offering B2C products and services for sure must have a mobile app, social media, email marketing, website+SEO, retargeting, adwords... However, one indispensable metric all marketing departments of the XXI century must follow is REVENUE. In February 2015 the primary revenue driver in the USA was email marketing for B2B, while for B2C it is still paid-search, affirms Alp Mimaroglu in his article for the Convince&Convert website. Why? One of the main reasons is that email marketing is cheap and provides high ROI, especially in content driven campaigns.

One example of this trend in Europe we find it in the B2C collective purchase campaigns organized by consumer organizations and energy, telecom, insurance suppliers. These campaigns have proofed to generate over 40.000 registrations in less than 4 months, with a over 55% conversion rate in most cases.
